YOGA: MAKING COMPARISONS
Despite how it may look from the viewpoint of another species, each of our human bodies are mildly different, varying in shape and size from one to the next. And our various shapes and features are changing at every moment, from the cell and the smallest detail to the more obvious. Most of us can't help but make comparisons between this body and another. We also make comparisons between this body in its present state and this body in another condition, whether that be in the past or the future.
We plan for, we hope for, we long for,
we resist, we resent,
we try to reverse, we try to prevent, we try to promote, we try to prolong, we try to provoke.
In making comparisons, we note the differences and evaluate one thing as more and the other thing as less. Essentially it means that we are seeing them as things to be judged separately.
